Those who watch popular American comedies have definitely come across the movies with Will Ferrell: A Night at the Roxbury, Bewitched, Old School and many others. And he is widely known on American TV as the Saturday Night Life star. And here he comes to us in a new hilarious movie: Blades of Glory.

The film tells about the two men who have to overcome the negative feelings they have had to each other for many years to become the first and unique male couple on the ice skating competition. Each of them has his own style of skating and maybe together they could receive what each of them dreamt for all of their careers: victory and golden medals.

The directors used many different episodes from the real ice skating competitions like the Jimmy’s peacock costume, sharing one golden medal, names of the world famous skaters on the chart, etc. It is also interesting the Blades of Glory had to be delayed for a short period of time, because the main actor, Jon Heder broke his ankle while practicing for the film, but due to the plot one of the skaters was really supposed to break an ankle, not Jon, but his partner, Will Ferrell.

Blades of Glory received a lot of positive reviews from critics. In the very first week-end it grossed $33 million. The producers spent $53 million of the creation of the movie and worldwide box office collection was $144.5 million!
