Broken Fences is one of those films which are very rare nowadays. It is a western like those appreciated a few decades ago. Marvelous pictures of the West, Colorado mountains, and wide open valleys make you proud for the country while watching Broken Fences.

The film tells a story of a lonely man (Jan Van Sickle) who lives far from any civilization on a ranch. He knows his business and does all right, but one day Joe receives a call from his son (Ryan J. Parker) who has just been paroled. Dylan swears he changed and wants to live with dad, but the things are not as good and clear as Joe thinks in the beginning. Dark cloud that follows his son does not want to leave, bringing troubles to the reunited family.

Broken Fences was highly appreciated. Many viewers enjoyed watching the long-forgotten style of westerns. Both DeepDiscount and Alibris gave it 4.5 stars out of 5, Imdb rated 4.5 out of 10. Four awards have been given to the film: Action of Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, Indie Gathering Award for Best Feature Film, New-York International Grand Jury Prize for Best Director, World Fest Houston Glod Award for Best Western.

The film is really worth seeing. Although it is not a family movie, the people who love beautiful scenery and western movies in general are guaranteed to appreciate the Broken Fences.
