Seems like, Hollywood can barely make a comedy without Will Ferrell in it. His face and voice is everywhere and stupid jokes and weird thoughts follow him from one film to another. Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is one more Ferrell’s “masterpiece”.

As it happens in many of his movies, Talladega Nights was written and produced by Will Ferrell and definitely the main role is his. And as many of his pictures, this one was rated PG-13 for drug reference, sexual humor and language.

But maybe we shouldn’t be that strict with the film? After all, it was well accepted by many critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave 72% positive reviews to Talladega Nights, where many authors admit this is the best Ferrell’s job. Metacritic gave 66% positive marks.

According to the box office collections it is obvious the public liked Talladega Nights as well: On its first weekend the film collected over $47 million, which is more than half of its budget ($72.5 million). Totally Talladega Nights grossed almost 163 million worldwide.
